What does Scripto do with DITA?

OASIS, the not-for-profit consortium that drives the development, convergence and adoption of open standards, approved version 1.0 of the DITA standard in June 2005. Shortly afterwards, our documentation architects were eager to study the DITA information model, to keep track of the evolution of DITA and to experiment with the DITA-aware editors.

Today, DITA has been fully integrated in our own authoring and publishing process. “Practise what you preach” being one of our creeds, we write and design our internal business content in accordance with the DITA model, witness this site.
We use DITA to design almost all documentation for our customers, in XML but also in a binary format, unless our customers prefer to use a different information model. But even then, we are getting increasingly more requests to restructure their existing content to the DITA model.

Finally, we present our DITA expertise and “best practices” in training and consulting. Surely, you can literally spend weeks or even months wading through dozens of white papers or sit out countless presentations or webinars. The question is, of course, whether you have or will get the time to do this, and whether you will get the answers to your questions. Probably not, which is why Scripto’s DITA jump start with a management presentation or an accelerated introduction into DITA may be a handy solution.
